- Praiseworthy.
- The context has described many virtues of a God-fearing woman.
- Her virtues flow from her fear of the Lord.
- Her virtues are actually like fruit, for they evidence the tree which produces such fruit is a good tree.
- Of what does the fear of Jehovah consist?
- It is not possible to maintain the self-sacrificing, diligent love and hard work without a lively faith in Jehovah.
- She resists the ever-present temptation to see praise for the wrong things.
- She does not seek to be praised for “favor” and “beauty.”
- “Favor” is gracefulness, loveliness of form and charm; “beauty” is first brightness or splendor, and then outward beauty.
- Beauty and outward splendor are “vain” is a vapor or a breath.
- “Deceitful” is what deceives, disappoints, and betrays as a lie or something false.
- This text is a valuable guide for marriage choices.
- May virtues, not beauty, be the primary concern for men and for women.
- Be assured that her love of God is the best promise and guarantee that she will love you as long as you both live.
- The virtuous woman is worthy of praise and commendation.
- The girl and woman who fears Jehovah does not pursue the praise of men.
- The virtuous woman is worthy of praise, for the fear of God is the most beautiful of all ornaments (I Peter 3:2-4).
- May girls and women use this virtuous woman as the mirror before which they “dress” themselves.
- And as the bride of Christ, may every member of the church endeavor for the virtues which flow from the fear of Jehovah.
